My work is now focused on providing top-notch consulting to small businesses and brands to elevate their success through sharing my knowledge of various digital media platforms and societal trends. With me as your consultant, your business will align with the most up-to-date needs of the culture and audiences you're trying to reach.
Working with non-profit organizations and small businesses (particularly minority-owned and focused) is a passion of mine, mainly because I love mission-based work. In my work, I've curated email campaigns, managed websites, and boosted engagement for audiences and supporters. Writing is a first love of mine and always my most-praised skill.
I've managed organizational and small business social media pages, including creating daily content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn accounts. This includes in-house creative posts and sharing content related to the work of the organization. I'm tech savvy and in-the-know of the latest and current social media trends and tools. In December 2020, I completed a Social Media Marketing Certification through Hootsuite.
As a graduate of Columbia College Chicago (Bachelor of Arts-Broadcast Journalism), I was fortunate to intern at two of Chicago's top television stations: ABC7 Chicago and NBC5 Chicago. These internships gave me priceless live television experience and put me in the "real world" of multimedia. I have years of experience in filming and editing short-form videos and audio on a variety of topics, as well as conducting interviews and writing scripts for promotional and informational purposes..
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I've been heavily involved in virtual event planning for non-profits, churches and small businesses. This includes producing the event structure, required materials and ensuring a seamless event, whether in-person or behind a screen. Now that more events are in-person again, I am gaining momentum in planning face-to-face events like alumni events, for example.
